Silver City is the place to stay.
Located just 3 miles from the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park,
our quaint little town is
reminiscent of years gone by.
A place to get away from it all and
still be at the junction of all the
area has to offer.
Check out the
Park Info
and Activity page for
suggestions while planning your
trip!
Mountain View Lodges is the
newest resort in the Western U.P.
offering all the comforts of home in
a peaceful setting right on the
sandy shores of Lake Superior.
Located on a shallow bay, guests
enjoy swimming, sunning, beach fires
and some of the most glorious
sunsets in the Midwest!
In 2007, Mountain View Lodges had
the privilege of hosting the
Discovery Travel Channel crew as
they taped the native copper segment
for Cash and Treasures
which aired on January 1. The
show featured the
Caledonia Mine. The
Caledonia Mine is the last active
copper mine in Michigan. Visit
the Mine website to set up a tour to
find your own piece of copper!
